Tying The Knot Barbiecore Style

Just imagine if Barbie tied the knot! Luckily for you, you now don’t have to, as we’ve pulled together a Barbiecore-inspired wedding edit.

From that dream pink wedding dress (yes we said pink wedding dress) to pearl adorned pink champagne coupes and everything in-between, we’ve fully fallen down the Barbiecore-inspired wedding rabbit hole (and only just climbed out wearing head-to-toe pink, naturally). Following the release of Greta Gerwig’s new Barbie movie with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the world is fully on board with embracing heavenly hot and candy-floss pink hues. So, get ready to add to cart those perfectly pink favours whilst simultaneously falling in love with a unique Barbiecore bridesmaid dress idea!

#1 THE RING

If you haven’t heard of Vintage Pink, it’s time to do so. The independent, sustainable jewellery brand was founded by fashion photographer Ruth Rose and is all about celebrating every incredible life moment - however big or small - with a fabulous vintage ring. And, with some beautiful colourful options available (be it a ruby set with diamonds or heavenly pink sapphire) we feel like Barbie would approve.

 #2 THE DRESS

We’re kickstarting the Barbiecore wedding theme off in style with this utterly jaw-dropping, heavenly pink Millia London Adelina gown. Featuring hand pressed silk flowers and pearl details in pink, this enchantingly ruffled tulle creation is everything a Barbie-obsessed bride could dream of for the aisle.

P.S FYI, you’ll definitely want to head to the Team Hen Instagram for video footage of this gown in motion.

#3 THE BRIDESMAID GIFT BAGS

Meet the party bag that ticks every box when it comes to the Barbiecore theme: our Hen Party Team Bride Jelly Bags. Pink with a retro vibe? We love it. And, from their popularity, we know you do too! Not only are they ideal for filling with those adorable pink bridesmaid thank you gifts, but they’ll be able to reuse them post-wedding too!

#4 THE CHAMPAGNE COUPES

We definitely feel like Barbie would approve of Lepelclub’s iconic Let’s Drink Pearls champagne coupes in pink! Hand embellished with shimmering pearls, they’d look a total dream adorning the wedding reception tables! Get ready to swoon, brides!

#5 THE BACKDROP

Whether you’re planning a cool photo booth set up and require a Barbiecore-worthy backdrop or are searching for that perfectly pink curtain to hang behind the top or sweetheart table, our Pink Ombre Tissue paper Disco Curtain or Pink and Lilac Tissue Paper Disco Party Backdrop will fit the bill. Rocking a cool ombre effect, they’ll look truly epic in the wedding photographs!

#6 THE SUNGLASSES

With a £4.99 price tag, our Pink Heart Sunglasses are a total winner in the bridal accessory department. Regardless of whether you opt for white for the bride and pink for bridesmaids (or vice versa) the entire bridal party is going to look amazing.

#7 THE SHOES

We’ve brought you not one, but two Barbiecore-inspired heels to contemplate for the aisle. Meet Bella Belle Shoe’s (very) recently launched Mirabelle Pink heel! She’s got bows, she’s got ankle straps and she’s just perfect for peeping out from beneath those tiers of delicate tulle. Prefer a platform or block heel? Opt for Rainbow Club’s Gracie platform dyed Fuchsia. Trust us, she’ll cause quite the stir!

 #8 THE T-SHIRT

Meet the perfect t-shirt to order for every member of the bride squad: our Bride Squad T-Shirt in Hot Pink. Whether they’re wearing it on the hen, upgrading their pjs (so everyone knows they’re on the squad) or donning it for the morning of the big day, it’s a no-brainer when it comes to the Barbiecore hen party trend.

#9 THE BRIDESMAID DRESSES

We’re thinking two options when it comes to pulling off that Barbiecore-inspired wedding theme with the bridesmaid dresses: pink or white! Think about it, how cool would the bridesmaid squad look in matching Club L London Just Like That White Belted Blazers with Feather Details - while the bride pops in pink? Or go all out on the pink theme and deck your girls out in Club L London’s fabulous Hanna Hot Pink Asymmetric Draped Satin Mini Dress!

#10 THE STRAW

Our Pink Bride Straw will take you from hen to wedding when it comes to adding a dash of drama and style to your cocktail or beverage of choice! Measuring 10 inches wide by 11 inches tall, not only is this pink number perfect for showcasing your newlywed status, it’s an ideal prop for the wedding photo booth!

#11 THE FLOWERS

If it’s striking colour and proportions that you’re after when it comes to the bridal bouquet, you’ll definitely want to check out the work of Horseshoe Flowers! Pulling together beautiful creations from dried and preserved wedding flowers, if it’s a pop of pink you desire, this bouquet by the brand is spot on!

#12 THE TABLECLOTH

You’ve already met their signature pearl-adorned champagne coupes, now it’s all about making the acquaintance of the Lepelclub x Matilda Bea Table Dress with Frills. Trust us, it’s a collaboration you’re going to love! And, BOY will that dreamy table dress look divine covering the reception tables!
